Wellbeing Practitioner Registration Audit
Every month, we randomly audit a percentage of registered Wellbeing Practitioners who have made their Declarations. While it’s likely you’ll be audited once every five years, the timing and frequency are random, so you won’t know when it will happen.
In certain cases, we may select members for audit outside of the regular cycle.
The Audit Process
If you’re selected for audit, we’ll notify you by email with a SharePoint link and instructions on submitting your documents. You’ll have 6 weeks to provide the required materials. If you don’t submit or reach out with any issues, your registration will lapse.
Should we find inaccurate declarations or false statements, we’ll lapse your registration and recommend removal from membership to the Board.
You must be practicing in the UK, its territories, or Ireland when completing the audit. If you’ve had time off in the last twelve months, you can still be audited, just note this on the Audit Information Form. CPD and supervision during that time aren’t required.
For more details, check the Ongoing Registration guidelines.

CPD Activities and Evidence
Each CPD activity requires supporting evidence. You can find a list of acceptable activities and evidence here.
Please ensure that your evidence files are named sequentially (e.g., CPD EV 1, CPD EV 2, etc.). These names should correspond with the numbers in your Reflective Statements and be cross-referenced in the CPD Summary on your audit information sheet.
CPD Reflective Statements
A Reflective Statement is required for each CPD activity. It’s best to complete these shortly after the activity to capture your thoughts while they’re fresh in your memory.
When naming your Reflective Statements, use a sequential format (e.g., CPD RS 1, CPD RS 2, etc.).

Signatures
Some of the documents you will submit with your Audit require signatures from you or other people.
We are in the process of updating our documents to incorporate electronic signatures. In the meantime, here is some guidance on how to validate a document or provide proof of identity if signatures aren’t possible – Signature Guidance
Supervisor’s Report
Please have your current Clinical Skills Supervisor complete and submit this report no later than six weeks before your audit submission deadline.
If your current Clinical Skills Supervisor has been supervising you for less than six months, you will also need to provide a Supervisor’s Report from either your previous Clinical Skills Supervisor or your current Case Management Supervisor.
Download and Submission Instructions
Ensure you complete the correct Audit Supervisor’s Report template that matches your supervisee’s registration type. Once completed, email the report directly to us at wellbeing.reports@babcp.com.
Save the file using your supervisee’s full name, followed by “Supervisor’s Report for Audit” (e.g., “Nia Brown Supervisor’s Report for Audit”), and include this same wording in the subject line of the email.

Return to Practice Audit
If you registered through the Return to Practice Policy, you will undergo an audit six months after joining the Wellbeing Practitioner section of the CBT Register UK & Ireland.
You’ll need to submit evidence and reflective statements for three CPD activities, including at least two hours of CBT-informed skills workshops. Please follow the audit documents and submission instructions provided above.
For further information, please refer to the Return to Practice Policy for Wellbeing Practitioners.
Audit Feedback
If additional information is needed, auditors will contact you or anyone who has submitted documents on your behalf. You’ll be notified by email if your audit is successful.
If you don’t meet the requirements, conditions may be imposed for re-registration, such as submitting more documents or being audited again next year. Failure to comply could result in your registration lapsing. If you disagree with the outcome, you can appeal within 28 days by emailing wellbeing@babcp.com. The Chief Accreditation Officer will review the appeal and may involve the Practitioner Accreditation Committee.
If you’ve had an extended break from practice in the past year, you may not need to meet all requirements. If you’ve been out of practice for over a year but less than two, complete a Leave of Absence form.
If you’re out of practice when called for an audit, you’ll be invited to audit the following year.
