About the Policy

If you’re looking to return to clinical practice and register as a BABCP Wellbeing Practitioner, this policy is for you. Whether you were previously registered or have been out of practice and are now ready to rejoin, we’ve made the process straightforward.

If your BABCP Registration has lapsed, simply complete the Return to Practice for Wellbeing Practitioners Application form to reclaim your place on the CBT Register UK & Ireland.

When returning, you’ll need to meet key requirements to ensure you’re up to date and ready to practice:

Audit

Registered practitioners must maintain registration standards, including supervision and CBT informed CPD. After being placed on the Wellbeing section of the CBT Register UK and Ireland, all practitioners joining the Register via the Return to Practice route will be audited in six months.

Details of the audit process can be found here.

When you are called to audit, if you are not in clinical practice, you will be removed from the Register and will have to re-apply and repeat the above process.
