Website downtime and new member services coming soon!

We’re excited to share that a new and improved BABCP website is launching soon!

This new site will make it easier for you to manage your membership services online, and will include:

  • An enhanced ‘member account’ section with access to invoices, messages, event booking and much more.
  • Improved access to services and applications
  • Easier access to resources

Members of the public will also see improvements, with greater visibility on how to access help and check the status of members who are listed on the CBT Register.

Key dates

12 June – All services will be offline from noon
13 – 16 June – All services will be offline, including website, CBT Register and phone lines

During this time, we will not be able to process:

  • Membership applications or renewals, including accreditation and registration maintenance fees.
  • Accreditation or Wellbeing Practitioner Registration applications
  • Annual declarations, Audits, Leave of Absence, or Return to Practice requests
  • CPD event bookings

Complaints against members can still be submitted via complaints@babcp.com

17 June – Partial services resume
  • Applications for Membership and Wellbeing Practitioner Registration will resume
  • Wellbeing Practitioner Registration Annual Declaration and Leave of Absence processes will resume as an online process
  • Accreditation Annual Declaration and Leave of Absence process will resume as an online process
  • Accreditation – First Accreditation and Random audit process will resume as an online process
  • CPD event bookings will resume
  • Complaints handling via a new online reporting form
  • Find a Therapist and CBT Register

The following services will continue to be available with the current paper-based process, until available within the website:

  • Accreditation Return to Practice applications
  • Accreditation First Accreditation Audit extension requests
  • Wellbeing Practitioner Return to Practice applications
  • Wellbeing Practitioner De-registration

Accreditation applications will remain closed for now, but will reopen as online processes later – please see below for more details.

25 July
  • Applications for Accreditation via the Level 2 course route will reopen as an online process.
  • Wellbeing Practitioner Registration Audits will reopen as an online process.
  • Accreditation First Accreditation Audit extension request will resume as an online process
August
  • Wellbeing Practitioner Registration Return to Practice applications will resume as an online process.
September
  • Applications for Accreditation via the Level 1 course & non-accredited course routes will reopen as online processes.
  • Accreditation Return to Practice applications will resume as an online process.
October

Online applications will be reopened for:

  • Supervisor Accreditation
  • Evidence Based Parent Trainer (EBPT) Accreditation
November
  • Wellbeing Practitioner De-registration online process will open
  • Trainer Accreditation applications will reopen as an online process

Note that the above dates may change. We will notify members by email when we are able to confirm each step.

Please read all future emails carefully, especially renewal notices and declaration requests, as processes are likely to have changed.
