Focus areas
- Plan ways to increase access to psychological therapies for Bipolar disorder in both primary and secondary care
- Discuss best practice guidance and ensure adherence to NICE guidelines and latest evidence
- Increase awareness of efficacy of CBT for Bipolar disorder, and confidence in CBT therapists to deliver such therapy
- Organise CPD training events for BABCP members
- Collaborate on research projects relating to psychological mechanisms of Bipolar and CBT and third wave approaches
- Work with other organisations such as Bipolar UK and International Society for Bipolar Disorders
