Dr Dougie Marks is a BABCP-accredited Health Psychologist and CBT Psychotherapist whose career demonstrates sustained leadership and significant contributions in clinical practice, research, education, and service development.

He has expanded access to CBT through innovative survivorship programmes in oncology, the integration of CBT principles into multidisciplinary healthcare settings, and the supervision and training of practitioners often from a non-psychological workforce.
His research and scholarship have focused on translating CBT and behavioural science into practical healthcare applications.
As a university lecturer and former CBT programme lead, he has influenced the training of healthcare professionals across medicine, dentistry, nursing, and psychotherapy.
He also led a nationally commissioned NHS Education for Scotland behavioural science programme, extending CBT-informed approaches across the healthcare workforce.
Collectively, his work has strengthened the reach, visibility, and impact of evidence-based CBT practice within healthcare systems and aligns closely with the values and objectives of BABCP Fellowship.
