Joining BABCP
BABCP is both a membership association and a professional body. As a membership association we welcome people from a range of backgrounds and career stages, with an interest in CBT and provide access to resources, benefits and professional development opportunities.
It is important to note, however, that BABCP membership alone does not indicate that someone is qualified or endorsed to practise CBT. Our professional standards are upheld through BABCP Accreditation and Registration, which are awarded only to those members who have demonstrated that they meet our training, practice and ongoing professional standards.
Only members who have gone on to achieve BABCP Accreditation or BABCP Registration may describe themselves as BABCP Accredited or Registered, and only they are eligible to be listed on the CBT Register UK and Ireland.
This distinction helps to support our members, protect the public and maintain the confidence and integrity of CBT.
