Refers to a practitioner that has met the requirements for BABCP Accreditation as an Evidence Based Parent Trainer. They have core clinical skills and theoretical knowledge with a specialism in parenting training interventions for behavioural difficulties. They have committed to the ongoing supervision, practice and professional development required to maintain their Accreditation. This is audited following one year of accredited practice, and then on a random basis.

Refers to a psychotherapist that has maintained BABCP Accreditation as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for a minimum of four years and has demonstrated additional expertise and training to provide supervision. They have committed to the further ongoing supervision, practice and professional development required to maintain their Supervisor Accreditation. This is audited on a random basis.
Trainer
Refers to a psychotherapist that has maintained BABCP Accreditation as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for a minimum of four years and has demonstrated additional expertise and training to provide training to other CBT Psychotherapists. They have committed to the further ongoing supervision, practice and professional development required to maintain their Trainer Accreditation. This is audited on a random basis.
As a Wellbeing Practitioner
A practitioner that has met the requirements for Registration as a BABCP Wellbeing Practitioner. These vary according to the specific type of registration. They have committed to the ongoing supervision, practice and professional development required to maintain their Registration. This is audited on a random basis.
Status: Suspended Pending Investigation
The registrant has been suspended from the Register for a fixed period in line with our complaints and disciplinary procedure whilst a matter potentially impacting their suitability to remain on the register is investigated. Information relating to Interim Suspensions may be found on our website.

Leave of Absence
A registrant who is currently taking a break from practice. Leave of absence is a formal arrangement for those who are not meeting the minimum clinical practice requirements for their specific registration type. A leave of absence may also denote a period during which the registration has informed us that they are unable to meet other requirements relating to their registration type. During this time they maintain their accreditation or registration status’ respectively for a period of up to 2 years.
