PWP Supervisor's Reports
Clinical Skills Supervision should be provided by a practitioner who is appropriately qualified and experienced in CBT informed approaches. Supervisors must also be currently practicing and utilising CBT informed approaches. In addition, Supervisors will ideally have completed supervision training on an IAPT Accredited PWP Supervision course.
PWPs should be in receipt of clinical skills and case management supervision in line with the IAPT manual: NHS England » The Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Manual. If you are in receipt of case management supervision only, it must include appropriate clinical skills covering CBT interventions in line with the IAPT manual requirements.
One PWP Supervisor’s Report is required and must be submitted before you apply for PWP Registration. This should be from your current PWP Clinical Skills Supervisor. If your case manager provides clinical skills as part of your ongoing case management supervision, then they can complete the report. If your current Clinical Skills Supervisor has been supervising you for less than six months, you must additionally provide a PWP Supervisor's Report from your previous Clinical Skills Supervisor, your current Case Management Supervisor, or your current Service Clinical Lead.
Supervisors should send the report directly to pwp.reports@babcp.com up to one month before the Application is made. If we do not receive a completed application for registration with payment within one calendar month of receiving a Supervisor's Report, the application and report will be deleted.
