If yes, join the BABCP Independent Practitioners Special Interest Group (IPSIG)
established in 2003. All members of BABCP are welcome.
The purpose of IPSIG is to represent the interest of full and part-time independent
practitioners and to bring matters affecting independent practice to the attention
of the Association.
It aims to ensure that issues of independent practice, and any problems arising from
it, are addressed and resolved in accordance with the guidelines for good practice of the BABCP.
Membership is free and all IPSIG members benefit from:
reduced rates at nationwide specialised workshops and conferences with topics relating
to working in independent practice
being part of a forum of independent practitioners and be kept up to date with recent developments
having access to useful materials (articles and downloads), documents and information
needed to work successfully in independent practice
being able to advertise your practice on our website directory
networking opportunities to find supervision, regional groups, peers with similar
interests or simply support with anything related to working in independent practice
