Lived Experience Advisor needed for BABCP Practitioner Accreditation Committee
BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in the UK and Ireland. BABCP is seeking representation from a person with lived experience of using services which provide CBT, to join the Practitioner Accreditation Committee of BABCP.
The Practitioner Accreditation Committee is responsible for overseeing decisions and processes relating to individual CBT therapist accreditation. It meets monthly via remote video or audio call and in normal circumstances meets twice yearly in person (usually in London).

All applicants must have a commitment to improving patient experience and to developing excellent patient and public participation.
Lived Experience Advisors can receive an involvement payment of £150 per day/£75 per half day plus reimbursement of reasonable expenses. Reimbursement will include half a day of reading time before the meeting. The Lived Experience Advisor will be paid sessionally and will not have a contract of employment with the BABCP.
