Synopsis

This follow up workshop will help Low Intensity clinicians understand the mechanisms of sleep and how to integrate/deliver sleep interventions within low intensity practice. It aims to help clinicians build their awareness and confidence in this aspect of work. The workshop will be centred around the adult population rather than children's due to the evidence base, however Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners and Education Mental Health Practitioners are welcome to book on as the content may be relevant in the context of work with parents.

The training will discuss the mechanisms of sleep and how interventions can be integrated alongside other interventions or delivered as a discreet piece of work with clients. It will incorporate NICE guidelines on insomnia and guidance from the NHS Talking Therapies manual to inform practice.

The workshop aims to:

Consider how to integrate sleep psychoeducation and interventions into low intensity practice

Develop confidence in working with clients presenting with sleep difficulties
