Working with a brief CBT model in Higher Education

Presented by Jessica Davies

About the event

This is an online, participative event via the Zoom meeting platform.  This session will not be recorded

CBT Therapists in Higher Education often seem thrown by the new population they work with as well as the restrictions many find themselves in.  This event aims to help attendees reflect on their core practise of CBT, to remind themselves on the core competencies and evidence base of their work to ensure they are confident in the delivery of CBT within HE.  Also to consider the frameworks they work within and ensure they are able to ask themselves the correct questions to maintain evidence based CBT delivery.

Learning Outcomes

To be able to reflect and understand which Students may benefit from a shorter term model and those which require a longer amount of sessions.

To also be able to reflect on practise and feel confident in the delivery of a shorter term model (6-8 sessions) when this is appropriate.

Target Audience

Experienced CBT Therapists in HE (i.e. not recent graduates due to a need for a period of experience in their foundation training)

CPD

Attendees will be issued a CPD Certificate for 2 hours
