CBT therapist with OCD specialism (part-time) 

We are looking for a CBT therapist, specialising in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders such as body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). This is a vital role within the hospital’s newly established OCD and related disorders inpatient unit.

The therapist will work closely with the lead therapist of the service, as well as collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team, including the esteemed Professor David Veale. 

Salary - From £40,000 pro rata per annum depending on experience, plus £2,500 London Allowance, pro rata for part-time colleagues

Hours - Four days per week

Requirements

The following skills and qualifications are essential:

• Completion of postgraduate training in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT)
• Full or provisional accreditation with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
• Core professional registration (e.g. psychology, nursing, social work) or equivalent recognition 
• Knowledge and experience in the assessment, formulating and providing cognitive behaviour therapy to clients with OCD and related disorders
• Knowledge of assessment tools and their psychometrics
• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experience delivering 1:1 and group therapy in an acute mental health setting/inpatient setting
• Demonstrable experience supervising/mentoring health professionals
• High level of self-confidence
• Ability to organise and respond to complex information
• Confident and professional
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• IT Literacy skills
