An exciting opportunity has become available for a Full-time Band 7 practitioner (qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Supervision) to join the CAMHS Mental Health Support Team, based in Slough.
The Slough Mental Health Support Team (MHST) provide assessments & short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people in Slough with mild to moderate mental health needs. Clinicians working for the Mental Health Support Team service will promote the emotional wellbeing & mental health of young people in educational settings in Schools. They will offer advice, information & support to young people and families, & consultation & training to professionals, as appropriate. You may provide outreach support to promote engagement, where needed. You will lead the Slough Mental Health Support Team & work closely with your Slough Getting Help Team (GHT) colleagues & the Slough MHST/Getting Help Team Lead to provide mental health consultations and advice to partner agencies, including the Slough Early Help team, Youth Offending Teams & CAMHS pathways.
This is an important post at the interface with education settings, partner agencies & specialist CAMHS. The Mental Health Support Team sits alongside the Getting Help Team in Slough. Operational management & clinical supervision will be provided within Berkshire Healthcare CAMHS.
