Job ref: 342-WTS077-0324

Salary: Band 5 £28,407 - £34,581 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: Full time/Part time

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) is a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care. We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1.8 million people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, across the county of Wiltshire and in parts of Dorset.

We’re looking for qualified PWPs who wish to continue developing their existing skills and progress with us to provide an outstanding specialist healthcare service treating common mental health problems to our service users. Our focus is on high quality assessment and treatments which are carefully planned to offer a structured clinical day.

Clinical skills supervision, case management and line management are offered in line with Talking Therapies guidelines with extra telephone duty support available as needed.

We also offer the opportunity for staff to get involved in specialist areas of interest as a “champion”. Current topics covered include support for younger people, equality, diversity & inclusion, service user involvement, wellbeing, and several others.

The Wiltshire Talking Therapies Service is a community based primary care psychology service working with our GP partners to provide low and high intensity therapy. Our PWPs and High Intensity (HI) therapists offer appointments to service users within GP surgeries and/or from our bases in Devizes and Salisbury.

Appointments are by telephone or video call with an increasing number of face-to-face appointments being offered. Our integrated working supports close clinical contacts and a team based working environment with other health professionals.

We are a friendly and supportive team with a strong focus on staff wellbeing.

The Wiltshire Talking Therapies Service supports flexible working, part time and extended hours which fit in with a modern health care system.

You must have a Talking Therapies Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) qualification to apply for this role.

We’re currently operating a hybrid working approach incorporating remote working and working face-to-face, from the community and our bases in Devizes and Salisbury. Applicants will be expected to travel within the Wiltshire area as required.
