The Anna Freud Centre is a world-leading mental health charity for children, young people and their families. Our mission is to close the gap in wellbeing and mental health by advancing, translating, delivering, and sharing the best science and practice with everyone who impacts the lives of children, young people and their families. More information about the Anna Freud Centre is available on our website: www.annafreud.org/about-us/.

We value diversity and aim to have diverse workforce that reflects the community and our service users, in line with our vision, values and inclusion commitments. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.

Children and Young People's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT) is a service transformation programme led by NHS England. Our courses are delivered in collaboration with UCL and are funded by Health Education England. Students are staff from the NHS, Local Authority and voluntary organisations who are part of the CYP IAPT collaboration. The Postgraduate Certificate (Pg Cert) in Supervision course is a one-year programme for clinicians and managers working in services committed to delivering Transformation and Change in CYPMH and Wellbeing Services. The course consists of approximately fourteen formal teaching days spread over the year, and four study days. The course is divided into two modules, which run in parallel over the year. The programme is delivered through a mix of online and in-person teaching, where campus-based learning will usually take place at the Anna Freud Centre (King’s Cross, London).

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates with specialist experience in child and adolescent mental health and CYP IAPT programmes, alongside experience of providing clinical supervision or facilitating reflective spaces to support clinical skills development in these areas. The main responsibilities will include facilitating Practice Tutor Groups where students will develop their clinical knowledge and practice, support delivery of teaching, as well as marking assignments across modules. With excellent communication skills, candidates will need to be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
