Finance Manager

Full-time (37 hours per week)
Based in Bury, Lancashire
£45,507 per annum (subject to cost-of-living annual salary review)
30 days annual leave per annum, plus bank holidays

The British Association of Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapies is recognised as the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK and Ireland. It was established over 40 years ago, and now has a membership in excess of 12,000 made up predominantly of CBT practitioners.

We are recruiting a Finance Manager to join our team of over twenty staff operating out of our Bury head office. Here, you will play a key role as a senior manager in helping the organisation continue to grow and develop.

As Finance Manager you will be responsible for leading five staff as well as supporting the Honorary Treasurer and the Finance Committee, whilst reporting to the Company Secretary. You will lead the finance function, consisting of three staff, through the management of accurate and timely reporting, ensuring compliance and policy is monitored, implementing good practice and considering fresh ways of working to maintain an efficient approach to a busy work schedule. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring IT systems run smoothly and effectively. You will also be responsible for managing the premises lease rental arrangements.

The successful candidate will understand how to ensure small office teams are highly effective, appreciate the context of operating in the charity sector and the demands of supporting growth of a small-to-medium membership organisation. You will possess excellent communication skills, a sound knowledge and experience of good financial practice, a commitment to bringing about positive change, sound business acumen and a set of well-rounded soft skills You will be energetic, committed and passionate about how finance can support an organisation travelling on an upward trajectory.
