When can I apply?

Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist Accreditation - you can apply for this once you can demonstrate that you have had at least 12 months of CBT supervised clinical practice within the last three years. There is no time limit for application after graduation.

Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist Accreditation for Graduates of BABCP Accredited Level 2 Courses - you can apply as soon as the course has sent us a pass list including your name. You don't have to be in practice to apply.

There is no limit for application after graduation. However, if you graduated more than five years ago from a Level 2 course and have never been accredited with us, you must provide a completed Return to Practice Supplement and a Professional Reference with your application. This applies even if you have been in CBT practice in this time.

You can find full details in our Return to Practice Policy and on the Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist Accreditation page.
