Our Memorandum and Articles of Association is the document which forms our constitution, defining the
responsibilities of our Trustees and the business which we undertake.
The Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics (the Standards) are what we expect BABCP members to abide
by in terms of their professional work. Members are asked to sign a declaration that they will abide by the
Standards for the duration of their membership.
Our Minimum Training Standards (MTS) details the minium level of training, expereince and practice that
therapists are required to schieve in order to practice at an agreed standard of competency.
The Core Curriculum Reference Document provides a guide to the expected content of core training in CBT and
is used in conjunction with the MTS.
We take complaints against our members very seriously. If you have a complaint about a BABCP member, refer
to our Complaints Procedures.
BABCP covers a wide geographical footprint and the healthcare systems across different regions of the UK and
Ireland are different. Commissioning, funding, training and regulation are some of the issues considered in
